Hey guys,
We're finally back from Mexico, where Jim Coffey fired up 60ft Cascada Truchas, breaking Steve Frazier's old mark. We also got to run Rio de Oro and Roadside Alseseca, two of Mexico's most amazing runs; it's hard to beat a river that has two clean 30+ ft waterfalls, a paddle out into the ocean, a burro-assisted hike in, and a seafood dinner all in one day!
The video is now live. Jim's record-breaking descent starts at 07:40, but I hope you guys dig the whole video.

Re: Jim Coffey breaks OC1 waterfall record
Thanks Larry,
There are a lot of different factors to try to calculate before running any big drip. Some relate to body mechanics, others to consequences, others to confidence. For me this pulled together a lot of the things I LOVE about paddling.
There is a short write up on our blog about the run in more detail if anyone is interested. Many thanks to the crew Cheeks, Martin Breu, Isidro and Julian. They each played an important roll in making our mission happen.

Its not about the approach. Its about control in the hole.
