Favorite Frankie Hubbard solo WW-Canoe ?
Just curious which boat of the many great Frankie Hubbard designed and produced canoes people like the best... (you should have 3 choices)
If you want to vote for the Rodeo... sorry... there's only 10 poll choices.

hmm. i havent paddled most of these but i learned in a probe, so...
Re: Favorite Frankie Hubbard solo WW-Canoe ?
oh, you need to make room for the rodeo somewhere.
shouldnt the Ledge be on there because of all his influence.

Re: Favorite Frankie Hubbard solo WW-Canoe ?
the rodeo could fall into the viper category seeing it was made from the viper 11

How Could it be anything other than the CU-Fly?

I've never owned an OC1 that Wasn't designed by Mr. Frank Hubbard.
(Probe 11, Viper 12, Viper 11, Rodeo, Prelude.)
I enjoyed or am still enjoying them ALL.
If the Rodeo is in the Viper series, (and I believe it is)
I would say that series was the best.

I thought the Probe was designed by someone else... in spite of the fact it's basically a softened Viper.
Why isn't the 'Advantage' series in there?
Also, just as an interesting factoid, Rodney Morgan told me the middle of the 15' Edge is what the Viper 12 was built on.

I own a Viper 11 and now a Viper 12 as well as an Ocoee. I have paddled Spanish Flys and Probes a bit. I once briefly paddled an Edge.
Yes, the original Viper (the 12) was basically a cut down Edge.
I prefer the Vipers to the Ocoee a bit. The Ocoee is drier than the Viper 11 (and maybe even the Viper 12) but does not feel as nimble to me as the Viper 11 and is definitely slower than the Viper 12, but obviously it is still a good boat.
I definitely prefer the Vipers to the Probes. The Spanish Fly was interesting, but if I was going to get a small PE canoe it would probably be an Option or a L'Edge.

Gotta Ask who else is voting for the Homes and CU Fly, the black sheep of the family as it is... I'm sure they're losing out just by being rare boats...

I still have a Frankie Hubbard Skeeter for sale in Colorado, not many left. It is in very good condition and has many years of life left. It is a fun plastic creeker for a fraction the cost of a new plastic boat. If your interested, pm me.
Cheers,

Another Viper vote that really means Rodeo, from another under-informed voter, having paddle Probes, Vipers, Ocoee and Prelude.
Interesting to hear the Rodeo is a scaled down Viper - I've been thinking that it feels more Viperish than Probe-like, in spite of Mohawk's web site saying "think of it as a Probe 10"

the think of it as a probe 10 is mainly talking about the super soft chines, and the stability
