One Day in Colorado

Post by Cheeks »

It looks like I might have a day to boat in Colorado on my way back from the Grand Canyon. For all you Colorado boaters, what is the Class 3-4 run I should do?

And any Colorado boaters who want to ditch work some time the week of the August 1st and want to show down an East Coast kid, well, you get beer.

Cheeks,

III-IV in Colorado, first week of August, hmmm. As you might know, we are having a very bad water year. Here are the possibilities for that week, but nothing is for sure:

Arkansas River - Numbers, Browns Canyon, Royal Gorge (III-III+ at low levels)
North Fork of the South Platte - Foxton, Waterton, Baily (IV-V)
Colorado River -Shoshone (III)
Poudre - Middle and Lower Narrows (IV-V-)
Blue River - Below Green Mountain Res. (II+-III-)
Colorado River -Gore Canyon (IV-V)

I might be able to paddle with you, just give me a heads up as the date gets closer, you can PM me with your contact info.
