New Years Costa Rica w/ Esprit

Post by YTcanoe »

I'm joining Esprit to paddle Dec31-Jan7 in Costa Rica. They're a great company, we had a blast in Mexico.

It looks that I'll be seriously outnumbered by kayakers, I could use some back up.
I'll paddle the week, then follow it with a week of trekking around (or possibly more paddling).
Anyone else up for an adventure? Ski season is starting off thin, good time to sneak off.

Here is a sample of what we got up to yesterday.

(Steve Isbell) running Burning Man, Pozo Azul.

The day before a high water Pacuare run, and before that a "double header" running the Reventazon and Puerto Viejo.

Pura Vida!

YTCanoe, you are going to have such a great time in Costa Rica. I'm tempted to join you even though I've just returned from there. The water is bigger and warmer than in Mexico. You might need a drytop only if it's raining and windy. Bring insect repellent -- I tried to do without, but relented about midweek. Hope you are staying at the Chilamate resort -- the food and the hosts were outstanding.
