Single stickers on Ocoee weekend of July 25 and 26

Post by Louie »

It looks like there is goin to be an infestation of single stickers on the Ocoee the weekend of the 25 and 26. Dooley will show up so you need to bring your water proof markers to get his autograph.
Jeff (AKA dick) Richards not the real Jeff Richards who don't boat any more , but the unreal Jeff Richards who still does boats will be holdin a demonstration on standing up in his Skeeter and boatin. Doopey will be totaly confused and babblin incoherenly while quotin Rush Limburger ( not sure what the difference is ). Page the femeale gynocoligest will be there to treat any buttboater who we might be tramatise. Denton Hill will make is trice annual appearance out of no where. We will see if we can get Photon to show up and tell us why he can design a better boat. Pincha locogrino will make his debue open boat run on the Ocoee. Jim Little will be invited and we will try to get Cummie to stingle stick and of course I will be swimmin in the damest places. These are just the headlinners and it will be amature night so with plenty of video cameras to record everything please feel free to come up with your own " What was he thinkin" moment and earn your own place in the anels of GDI history. As a special attration OC1King will be there lookin around and thinkin. Drive and park responable and we waited till this time to post this to whereany goin up north for the paddlin through stick contest already have made their plans and some certain to remain nameless chessehead won't be able to blame any poor attendance on the BSA for keppin peole from goin up north.

One quick note: about the suggestion of tiein 42 boat together gunnel to gunneland doin a true clean sweep of the river, we're still workin on the feasability of that ideal, a couple of techincal issue remain to be worked out

Any campgrounds more lenient than others concerning adult refreshments?

I swear you won't think you are on the same river, 28 years on the same river with 60 or so trip a year leads to bordom and the search for sumthin different to do, plus a lot of them were Frankies alternate lines, the left bank sneak at broken nose is good line and would be a lot of peoples favorite line if they just knew about it.

Should be fun, I hope we all gather at the put in for one clean sweep of butt boaters and floating undercuts. BTW I am real I think. Louie when we were pimps we tried that with the floating undercuts it didn't work out.

Is there a meeting time at the Put-In?

Post by Berkshire Jack »

My wife is taking a course at NOC that weekend and I will be in the vicinity of the Ocoee. Are Yankee C-1 er's invited to join? I could attempt to spray paint my blue boat to grey for the occasion. Is there an approximate meeting time at the put-in on Sat and Sun?

parking saturday

don't know how many of us will be there, but if you set shuttle before putting on you might as well go on down to the large private lot to park. loading open boats on that narrow roadside below the raft takeout is do-able but can be a traffic hazard. as louie request, park cool and leave the rangers free to get mad at the butt boaters and away from us. and give a shining image of the c-boaters.

There'll be a goodly number of canoers on the Arkansas in Colorado this weekend, too.
