The Galasport's been great for me, but I don't do creekin' either. There's no edging on the sides, but it's got a thin aluminum tip that holds up amazingly well. I've whack a lot of rocks with it. Special note: Slalom racers like aluminum tips because they're great for pushing off rocks.

I got my Galasport after I found out that AB got a whole year's use out of his. :o I consider that a miracle...
