Any chance a group would want to paddle it a second time during the week?
Yes. I ran the ledges twice last ALF.

Yes. I ran the ledges twice last ALF.

I think I ended up there 3 times... Need to branch out more this year!

Jeff - I have improved a lot since we last boated together. You had some encouraging things to say to me back in 2010, and I appreciated it!

Plan to be there early enough on the 10th to paddle that day. May have to drive directly to the river and bypass Shoney's.

Did Lower Tellico on Sunday and the Little down from Elkmont the day before. Think Colin was there at the Little as I recall.

Todhunter, you going to be staying at the KOA in Sweetwater, again?

Later.

Re: Aint Louie Fest - 2012 - March 10-18 Couple of Questions

Post by boatbuster »

Hi,

I have a friend who would like to bring his RV. Is there any place where he can park that thing for free or does he need to get a campsite?

Also, with people arriving from all over, what is the latest we can get to the Shoney's on Saturday and still hook up for some of these trips? We are coming from Asheville.

Thanks!

Hey folks...been a while since I've logged in/posted. For some reason my laptop didn't respond well to taking a dive off the kitchen table. Go figure.

So, being crippled in the internet realm, I have literally no information on the sweetwater campground or the genereal what's what when it comes to ALF. Basically, this is an open invite to give me a ring/e-mail/facebook message in the next few weeks and let me know who's doing what and what our options are. Addresses are welcome if you know them. Word on the street is that Sweetwater is a little pricey. What are the other more affordable options? I'll be down from the Friday to Friday and am ready for another awesome experience.

On a side note: I've finally acquired a Blackfly Ion and will be a real open boater at this year's ALF instead of a wussy, poser wannabe C1-er. :P All kidding aside, I'm really happy with the boat and am looking forward to putting my skill to the test down South. See you guys down there!
