Somewhat offtopic and somewhat on topic, but a buddy has an American Flag design Drakkar BigBoy (a bigger Wheelboy I think), for sale in Northeast, PA. Let me know if anyone is interested, the boat is in impeccable shape with the kevlar/composite original saddle and outfitting. I think he wants $1,100 but its been sitting for awhile and would probably take less to put the funds into his new house.

The last two posts demonstrate one of the reasons why we won't see any new C1 designs in plastic. We are not very supportive of the few 'brave' designers who take a big chance with the C1 market. The C1 community seems to be its own worst enemy . We eat our young.
It is an amazing phenomenon to watch.
No offense intended.

Oh, come on bruce! That's too funny.
We were all supportive SIX YEARS AGO when that plug was an actual work in progress. Remember now... who was in on that first wheelboy shipment?
Nowadays I bet that plug is buried under 15 ft berry vines out in some back pasture. Marko is probably selling insurance and making and lots of money, So I doubt our comments will have any detrimental impact on it's progress.
Now, I think you need to be supportive and get out and actually paddle your c1, instead of going climbing in the rain and snow.

Meh, they invariably try to be all things to all people after coming by the notion that they should be aiming to be financially succesful.Bruce Farrenkopf wrote:The last two posts demonstrate one of the reasons why we won't see any new C1 designs in plastic. Jeremy's blackfly was made to do one thing really well; and turned out to be a good boat for other things too allowing him to (as far as I can tell) make a run of it...
Plus, until someone makes a C1 that's verifiably better than a Jefe Grande, Remix or H3/Burn/Everest (depending on what you like) convertion why bother even considering it?
