Vancouver, BC roadtrip late august 2014

Post by cmnypny »

Greetings,

I am planning a five week roadtrip doing a loop going through Canada and then back through the USA.

I should be in Vancouver late august and will have my paddling gear with me.

Anyone interested in possibly paddling something out there with me that would be within my skills.

Colin,

Sure, and I'll have a sticker for you!

You may also want to post on the local forum and coordinate there (though you'll find some of the same key folks):

Cheers, Pat.

p.s. Here's an idea of what's around, and much more of course:

Vancouver Roadtrip

Wet Coasters (Vancouver) occassionaly (every 2nd year depending) have a 10 day camp in the Rockies in early August. Google map: Whiteswan Lake Provincial Park

It has late season water and Rockies scenery; rivers and creeks run from easy 3 to 4.
Rivers to run would be the Elk, the Bull, Quinn, Upper and Lower White, Cross, Skookumchuck Creek
Canadian Rockies Whitewater by Stuart Smith has all the info

If you are passing thru and can make it this would be a "don't miss camp"

Paddling is easy, organizing shuttles is hard.
Not misplacing all your crap in somebody else's car seems to be even harder
