Allegedly originally owned and raced by Bob Robison. Very very light. This is a project boat, however, needs some repairs, has ugly paint which I would remove and was going to except I decided I don't have time for such a project. Need outfitting. Last owners were a family of mice.
Seriously, this boat belongs to my paddling partner; I was going to restore it as a project, but have decided I don't have time. He already decided he didn't want to mess with it anymore.
Boat is in Blacksburg, VA. Will send pics on request. Best offer or he'd probably be OK with "free to aspiring but poor racer."

Hey Rick -
How's the Acrobat treating you?
How far are you from a Forward Air terminal? www.forwardair.com I might be interested in the Fanatic if we can secure shipping.

not too close
It seems that Greensboro (2.5 hours) is the closest. Neither my buddy nor I would be willing to drive down there to ship the boat, I think it's safe to say.
The Acrobat? I thought it was an Edge. I'm confused now, I've bought several boats now through the C-Forum. Was it your boat my buddy picked up at the Tohicken? That's the only Acrobat I've had. I no longer have it, sold it to my paddling partner because I basically didn't fit in it. He's shorter and lighter, so fits quite well. I was sad, because it's a great boat, wonderful trick paint job and looks great, but I just couldn't stand having my size 12s jammed in there(''). Anyway, it has a good home and I see it from time to time (he is also a multiboat paddler).
Just bought a cut-down Viper from Paul Cline on the Forum, wonderful boat. A bit more foot room.
Anyhow, unless a handoff could be arranged, I don't think shipping will work.
Where are you?
Happy New Year!

Acrobat?
I bought a squirt boat from you, and it was and is a tight boat with good hull speed. I didn't think it was an Acrobat, however, I concluded it was an Edge.
In any case, it didn't treat me well at first -- I couldn't get into it at all, just could not get my feet in. So, I undertook a radical solution: making a bigger cockpit. I decided to make an Atom-shaped cockpit, and I did. I'm still fine-tuning it. The combing leaks some (I didn't do a perfect job on it) and I still need to improve the outfitting, but it's a great boat to paddle and now I can paddle it.
Thanks again and if you hear of anyone heading up toward Pittsburgh who would be willing to carry the F2 let me know. Otherwise if I still have it next spring I could bring it to the Yok during my annual spring Yok trip.
