If you want to stay with a big boat you might consider a Mad River ME. No longer made in Royalex but is made in Kevlar by Millbrook Boats in NH. Some of the Mohawk boats are coming on strong also; the Viper is a good step up for you as would be the Probe (Probe not quite so much)

I thought the Ocoee was a more advanced boat. What do you paddle now? An Ocoee would likely be out of my price range.

beginner ww boat

Looking for a good advanced beginner ww boat as a gift. As the recepient is young, smart, atheletic, has incredible balance (former gymnast) and already paddles an Explorer I believe the learning curve will be very short for him so I don't want to start him off in a true beginners boat. I have a lin...

20' ash gunnel material

Just in case some of the ww boaters also like to tinker with fw boats I thought I'd post this: I have some straight 20' ash lumber suitable for gunnels. PM me if you need any or know of someone who does.

$$ too good to be true

Any body near Charlotte NC who might know of a stolen Wenonah Sundowner there is one on Charlotte craigslist posted for $225 in Rock Hill (SC?). Sounds like too good a price to be legitimate.
