I'm right handed and paddle c1 and OC1 as a righty.
I paddle either left or right in c2 or oc2 (either stern or bow)depending on what my partner wants. I'm stronger on the right though and my cross strokes are better there.

I plan on working on my roll in the pool this winter although I'll be going on Sundays and I know that's ski time for you folks. But if you take a Sunday off . . . You shoul...

Particularly for women. Not too many of us in C1 yet. It's a number's game unfortunately. Also when my roll in C1 ge...

Why Labor Day weekend? Well it actually fit in the schedule for the race organizers and other logistical reasons. Sorry it doesn't work for you but maybe you can make it next year.

The scoreboard got stuck on J.Ditty and others periodically because either the dam rented thing quit recieving transmissions or we weren't getting the scores fast enough from the judges to post. That was what I was doing instead of racing Alden, helping with timing, scoring and running the scoreboar...

Alden, I gained some very interesting insights into USACK's lack of responsibility, effectiveness and concern for slalom in the week that I spent at ASCI. I will share with you via email when I get some time. This week I'm incredibly busy both at work and home. Gotta make up for time spent away. Nat...

Greetings from US Nationals at ASCI

I'm here at ASCI and as PAC mentioned the conveyor belt is up and running. A very nice ride! Normally the water flow here for daily paddling and rafting is at either 2 pumps (Class II-III) or 3 pumps (Class III-IV). They are training and running Nationals at 3-1/2 pumps. It makes it very very pushy!...
