Thanks Seth I'm glad to see you posted this. I'm sure others are as interested in your experiences as I was. It was nice paddling with you and your folks a couple weekends ago (on LY). Sorry I had to bug out form Swimmers early (after only a couple hours of playing there - )! But the Ks were t...

Don't epoxy rubber D-rings or drill for bolts. Epoxy strapping to the interior hull after you rough it up. The straps should look like an omega sign (or upsidedown U with out rigging) with enough spacing to feed the belt strap through. Make sure you have enough strapping on the hull as well. Then at...

Question...
Bruce Do you still have the C2? If so is it a cruiser (higher volume) or a racer (lower volume / slicy ends)? What's the general condition (river-worthy) and does it come with functional skirts (are they river-worthy and normal waist size?)! Let me know. I already have one C2 (cruiser) but I'm looki...

The above are good and I would include (dare I say it) raising your seat. It works for me but then I think I'm the only C1er who likes 8 - 9" high seats (others correct me - if wrong). When I get into any other boats my knees / ankles hurt. But then when others get in my boats they are not fond of t...

Sounds like you have a number of options based on the responses from fellow C1ers. :) Again my suggestions: Borrow as many C1s as you can to try out to see what you like; jump at the chance to borrow any C1 no matter what the design (you might hate the boat but like the outfitting); and if you can b...

Its hard to respond to that question since no one boat is best at everything. Some folks love glass others plastic. From your post it sounds like your looking for a plastic kayak conversion! Where do you paddle and what types of rivers? How are your C1 skills? Are you coming from K or a C background...

Adam No problem on the info. you do a good job with the site. You mentioned that your at times in North Western PA. or general area. If so and you can get sprung for while (afternoon or weekend) let me know and maybe we can hook up (Since I'm in South Western PA). Just a thought! I might even provid...

I'm not sure I should help you on this (Scott most likely agrees) you darn quick desicion boat buyer! :) Anyway per Adam - I agree on the glue. You can use Weldbond (red can) which is relatively inexpensive. It works great once you lightly sand. Apply a couple coats on both surfaces (boat and item t...

I'm definately interested. If you have pictures send them on to either paul@cline.net and / or cline.pa@mellon.com. But I'll defer to Scott if the cockpit fits hiim - he too would look good in it! Let us know on the cockpit and pictures! Personally I like a higher seat so if the spray skirt would wo...

Is this the Viper that was on the NBofP Armada time? If I remember the seat was a bit low for me, but very nice boat!

Make sure to lightly sand to get a good bond then apply the West Epoxy. If you can, try to use the slower hardener. It provides a longer pot time to work with and use only the amount you are comfortable working with (if it starts to "cook off" on you toss it and mix a new batch). Using the slower ha...

Ric Soak that sucker in a bleach solution (If you can - use a 5 gal. bucket and fill the container with about a 5 to 10% solution in cold water). Let sit for a couple days (if you can and refill with the solution one a day). Once it looks like the "yuck" has cleared place the nozzle up agains the fa...
