Re: boat for my dog and me

I had good luck with my Golden in my ME..versatile, adaptable. If I kept moving it was all good, go slow and get too close to shore and She would bail. But that was the dog's problem, not the boat's. Good Luck...It's always interesting paddling with a dog. Peace...

Re: c1 sleepy foot syndrome...

Def. look at the clothing you are wearing. Try to avoid anything below the knee if you can. Take a critical look at your footwear. I would think with that much time in the saddle your outfitting would be good unless you changed it and/or boat recently. Stretch and warm-up routines are a big help to ...

Re: C-1 "listing" or leaning to onside(?)

Jim - From what I've seen "It seems to be working quite fine indeed" Rand - Would like to hear/read more about the "inside curve". The flatter entry you spoke of should help me because I am trying to eliminate that "jet ferrying" off a wave. It can be fun, but when I'm not trying to leave the wave i...

Re: Whitewater Canoe Paddle

I had good luck with Echo, and Mitchell. I started with wood, went away from it for a few years and now I'm back to mostly wood sticks for a lot of reasons. This Grey Owl stick isn't bad for the Price Point. It is a little stiff and may be a little "clunky", but otherwise OK. I also really like what...

Salamander Throwbag?

I'm thinking of picking up a Salamander throwbag and I was wondering if anyone has had exp with them. In particular the Guide and the Rapidfire models, I've narrowed it down to those 2. I have looked over the posts from the past and they were very informative and helpful. Peace..

C-1 "listing" or leaning to onside(?)

All my boats(2 kayak to C-1 and 2 C-1 specific) have had a slight list to my onside. I don't notice it on river runs or slalom courses, but on a wave or doing attainments it does come into play. The onside lean is very slight and I can compensate by adjusting straps and/or shimming. I was wondering ...
