i'd have to agree with mikey b. the hip pads on my remix have sticky back velcro. i tried to implement them into my c1 set up but they weren't in the right position, BUT, they were very adjustable by adding or subtracting thin layers of foam. should work for moving a person fore or aft via the backr...

I would second fibArk and the oc slaloms in golden, colorado. i can safely say that i've never seen a canoe manufacturer present at a paddling festival. they aren't going to just show up at your door step wanting a canoe, make a presence and see what happens. it can't hurt, and will definately be fu...

I got an ez last summer and really like it. it is really slicey with me in it. i weigh about 165 lbs. and use it mostly as a play boat. i do run rivers with it and it keeps me on my toes. i don't have any experience with the super ez but here is a link of some video with me in my ez for comparison. ...

i put a big dent in the stern of my ovation one year. i just pushed it out with my paddle and when i got home installed skid plates. the stern took a couple of more hits like that and the felt plate held fine. i used g flex to attach them. (the plate covered 90% of the dent) it didn't seem very expe...

the off side set up was exagerated for demonstration purposes, thanks for the advice though! if your paddle hit something during that fluid motion of transitioning your paddle to the set up position, it's probably the least of your worries. oh, i practice rolls in eddies all the time so that when i ...

dead legs
so, paddling my playboat for extended low water trips of ~6 miles, just to spice things up, has caused me some concern. since it's fall and i haven't been paddling as much, i have to pull over and get off of my saddle for a few minutes every once in awhile. that is fine, my saddle is lower than in a...
