@ insolence: Not english, don't make me loose my job! But a translation of the main details into french and spanish would be great, for all the cboaters out there. There probably are some forums where they meet in their home language, so it might be an idea to post the details there. @ jakke:...

This is amazing!

Thanks for sharing. I wouldn't have wanted to miss reading that letter. A shame on AW for not printing it.

And both thumbs up for you, Louie!

Yeah, it's finally coming up fast. I'm really looking forward to meeting old buddies and new c-boaters from all over Europe and beyond. The price for the longest trip to the armada will probably (there might be a challenge to beat that!) go to my friend Angus from New Zealand, who's coming half arou...

Hey Louie, is it too cold in Tennessee? Italy? When? Where? Why? What? Be here on May 22nd to 25th when we hold the third Euro-Armada in Austria and Switzerland. More information soon on this forum. Anyway, gear and such won't be that big a problem. It will be all about timing and distance. Italy is...

Thank you very much, Colin. Greatly appreciated.

This must have gone on for hours, all those cboaters throwing themselves off Baby Falls.

Sure it has to be mentioned in the Guinness Book of Records: The most cboats off Baby Falls in any one day.

And I missed ALF! Next year I'll be back!

Yeah, right, pictures please.

I wish everybody attending ALF this year a great time. I wish I could be there with you. It looks like water is even better than last year.

But is there no photographer with you who has webspace to upload pics?

The recent edition of the German KANUmagazin shows another Photo of this run. Jakob actually used the log to boof off... after he messed up his line in the rapid above the fall.

Nice guy, very modest, Jakob is. I just met him personally on the Kanushow in Haltern, Germany, last weekend.

AFAIK Esquif won't do the rotomolding process themselves. They have a company close by who is specialised in rotomolding and they do the hulls for Esquif. Outfitting and labeling is then done in the Esquif shed. The PE boats are not yet on their webpage, not even on the new flashy one (have you alre...

No real pictures though at superiorcanoes.com. Unfortunately. It's hard to guess the lines and features from the one shot. I'm looking myself for an alternative to a seakayak, but I'm not opposed to outriggers. Although it's hard to find one which might be used for extended tripping and offers enoug...

I'm happy to be the Euro and Asia  liaison for the Ain't Louie Fest 08 although this year I can't come myself. Unfortunately. I'd really like to paddle with all of you guys and gals again and see the progress of the kids in their Splashes. I had such a good time last year. So, to all of you Eu...

I took a Dagger Rival down the Colorado the first time. It was an okay boat, but I probably wasn't good enough for that boat: I flipped and swam a few times. I liked the Rival for tracking and reasonable speed, but it was a rather wet boat to paddle and, with not enough speed, it tended to stick to ...
