Re: Adding thigh straps to an Ion, recommendations?
do you have PVC going through the base of the saddle to distribute water? easiest way to install a strap in a open boat is to put a length of 2 inch webbing with a quick release through that hole, no drilling and the strap can come in and out in less than 5 seconds.

Re: Broken Foot
I'm sorry this happened! i broke my foot last season. i broke the second and third metatarsal. my doctor told me the outside metatarsals would act as splints, so all i did was wrap it and walk on crutches. i wasn't supposed to do anything on it for at least 6-8 weeks. i think i got into my boat with...

Re: Gflex for outfitting
I secure all my bulkheads into conversions by wedging the bulkhead in there. That way you can take the bulkhead out and put gear in front of the bulkhead. if you shape the foam properly then it should be plenty secure without gluing. if you are gonna glue it, DAP WELDWOOD! contact cement, comes in a...

Re: Jackson Karma... M or L?
i havent paddled the karma yet, but i have paddled the ZEN outfitted c1. The large zen is 80ish gallons and i too weigh about 160 and its a great boat. its fast, maneuverable, flat bottom. i know its not a full on creekboat like the karma but i would take the Zen on any creek in a heartbeat. Ive see...

seatbelt planet looks good. thanks Pierre! my main concern is not airplane grade, but if its good stainless that won't rust.

where can i find a airplane seat belt buckle?
has anyone tried these http://www.skybelts.com/skybelts.html which look to be marketed as a fashion alternative to a normal belt. other than the funny skybelt, everything else i've found that were made for aircraft are 50 or more dollars. everytime I fly on a plane i'm tempted to cut the buckle off ...

Re: Taureau 'surfability'
leclercraven - The Taureau is not the boat you seek. i know from your past couple weeks (months?) of posts that you want to playboat, not hardcore new school freestyle, but just enjoy a good playspot. The taureau will surf, maybe even spin! but its a creek boat and wont be fun for long. There are mu...
