Re: Identify this boat

It could be with replaced seats and a spray painted camoflage. Ive seen those deck plates on an ME and the shape looks correct

Re: Who makes an adjustable height pedestal?

I know of some one that suspended a H shaped wooden frame from his gunnels and mounted a bicycle seat to that. He said it was quite comfy but I never tried it out. The height could be adjusted easily

Re: Dry pants with not-so-dry top?

Bibs can be quite unsafe if filled with water. I know of some one that died because the bibs filled with water during a swim. Can you change the ankle gaskets to something else to let water out?

Re: outfitting my Option

Sounds like your lower body fits fine in the bulkhead. Could it be that you are hitting your chest on the foam in front of you and pivoting off the seat? If so maybe thats where it needs to be trimmed. Do any trimming a little at a time, I am going to add more after trimming off 1/2" too much

Re: So I have this Viper...

To make the ABS goo; 1, cut up some abs plastic small enough to fit in a glass jar (I use ~10oz jelly/pickle jar) 2, add acetone to cover ABS bits, close jar tightly (I cover jar with aluminum foil first to help with seal) 3, let sit overnite, then stir it,let sit overnite again adding more acetone ...

Re: ALF/Pre-ALF Workshops

There is a real difference between the perceived atmosphere at ALF and the real atmosphere among boaters when attending. Just like a big family there are some things that a few don't like, but in the end we back each other up and look after one another. The lessons are a nice addition I think :^)

Re: 2013 Outback?

My wife was set on the 2013 Outback, so that's what we got. FWIW I use my van for paddling most of the time. The new model has more cabin space (vs our old 2002 model) but at the cost of cargo area The gas mileage is quite a bit better (high 20's vs low 20's) than the old one, it seems to have more ...
