My friend Harry want to make some room in his shed, so the Gyrapig -- I mean Gyramax -- must go. He didn't say, but I don't think he'd want much for it if anything, just wants it outta there.
Located not too far from Blacksburg, VA.
Let me know if you're interested.

Acrobat question
What's the cut on the acrobat and is it the small cockpit (old style racer size)?
Thanks

ISO very small boat for 7-year old
Anyone have a line on a perception Jib or anything like that? I have a 7-year old girl and high hopes she'll try paddling this summer.
Thanks mates!

Cascade skirt
I have one that belongs to a friend but he never uses it anymore. He only used it a few times and decided he didn't like the fact that it has some kevlar around the edge. Thought he might somehow not be able to get out. Anyway it's a Mountain Surf, very good condition, last time I used it I could ba...

Prius as paddling vehicle
Anyone have any experience with how Prius or similar vehicle does with a few boats on the roof? Does it ruin the mileage? Is it a dog?
Thanks.

recent GC trip
Paddled the Grand Canyon, private trip, in August. I shipped, via Yellow Freight, a 12-foot plastic Dagger C1, to the outfitter's shop in Flagstaff, from Roanoke, Virginia. Cost was $160. One way. The boat stayed in Flagstaff (gave it to my nephew who lives there) so I didn't have the expense (and b...

it is a bit of a risk
hmmm, Ezwater, I hear ya. But my composite boats are either old too, or too squirty, or both. The Atom would be my strongest boat, and I did survive in it last time, but as I said the low volume, edgy stern gave me some problems last time. Maybe we could leave the cascade in there, high up in the ro...

Couple of boats FS (repost)
One Dagger GT 3.8, one Perception Shock, with nearly new spray skirt that fits both boats. $500 takes it all, or trade for interesting composite boat (especially old race boat or Viper) or open boat.
Boats are in Blacksburg, VA.

Cheajack, what does it mean, to "blue flame"? And do you think I could get that G-flex from Davey Hearn's outfit?

thanks
Thanks for the tips. The Vinyl Mastic sounds like my kind of repair -- a step up from duct tape. I'm not sure of how the crack got started. I think someone pushed down on that part of the coaming getting in or out of the boat. The rest of it feels pretty solid so I'm not too concerned about the boat...

crack on cockpit coaming (sp?)
I've got an old Dagger Cascade I'm planning to take down the Grand Canyon, but it has about a six inch open crack on the inside of the cockpit coaming. I drilled out 1/4 inch holes on each end to stop if from propogating, but I'm wondering if I have any better alternative than tape to keep water out...

After a brief flirtation with short plastic, I've decided that I'm just an old school, long-boat, composite kind ...

C1 for Grand Canyon trip?
This is a long shot, but I'm looking for someone in Flagstaff, AZ who owns either an Atom or similar who wouldn't mind loaning/renting to me in August for GC trip.
Thanks mates! I thankest thee.

rocker
right. did I say more rocker? I meant less rocker. Anyway it was a rocker adjustment accomplished by cutting across the back deck.
