Re: seek feedback
Frenchy some tips: body position- drive it like you stole it. you are leaning back and as a result your paddle strokes are less aggressive. Paddle strokes- forget the pry, kills speed and makes you lean back. learn a good pitch stroke and work on edging and paddling against the arc. Develop your cro...

outfitting with a dagger saddle
Well the boat of nine lives (and nine welds) is finally on its way to the recycling. Too broke to even think of selling. The new boat, a dagger nomad 8.5 is waiting for me to pick it up and I am thinking ahead to installing the dagger saddle from the dead boat (getting that saddle was really the onl...

Re: Kayaker dislocated shoulder moving to oc1
I have been there and have been dislocatio free for 4 years. First get a good rehab and strengthening program ( I can recomend a good therapist who boats) Second the switch can help, keeps it challenging but not scary by limiting the rapids you run Send me a private message, I am in Wnc and I am a a...

Re: wood paddles?
Fritz orr paddles will rock your world. Call him and tell him what you want to do with it he will build you what you want. Unlike some of the other companies Fritz is a canoe paddler (decade on the US wild water team) and makes canoe paddles, he gets the cboat mentality. Also he is not fast, I mean ...

hot water dent repair/ modification
I have heard of the boiling water trick to pop out a dent, and was thinking you could use it to do the opposite of a squash job (remember modifying playboats?) The idea would be to add volume in this case Or instead of heating the water you could fill the boat with cool water after you had preheated...

Re: everest Vs Stomper
Ok let me try this again
I want a boat that has more primary stability than my remix (most likely supplied by a flat hull with or with out edges) that will not get back endeared
is there any one who actually spent time in both a remix and a stomper

everest Vs Stomper
Any thoughts or comparisons on the stomper vs the everest conversions?
I am currently in a Remix 79 but want and edge and I am tired of getting back-endered.

No cboats in this
Shot this in New Zealand this winter. Edited it up to pay tribute to a paddler in murchison who opened up his home to me. He even loaned me a skeeter,the only open boat I found in the country, and loaned me a boat to outfit as c1 http://vimeo.com/34176092" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: 2012 Paddling Goals
when I started boating I promised myself I would never run class 5. a year later I promised myself I would run the Narrows by the end of the season. My plans were always interrupted. Every promise broken, I ran things I said I never would (which made me excessively scared) and ran things when I was ...
