Re: Esquif Prelude vs Mohawk Maxim
Thanks Richard, but can you explain it a bit more? I've paddled the crap out of the Maxim but haven't paddled a Prelude. Need some comparisons in performance to wrap my head around, like stability (initial/secondary) dryness, speed, boofability... that kind of stuff.

Esquif Prelude vs Mohawk Maxim
For those who have paddled both, please share you thoughts on how the Esquif Prelude and the Maxim compare. Many thanks!

Re: Welding a L'edge?
I've cut one in two, removed 2' from the center and welded it completely back together with great results. (on the weld, the SL'Edge is a bit of a nitch boat haha) anyway, yeah... you should be able to do it. Here's a link to my welding project, its in there somewhere. https://cboats.net/cforum3/vie...

Re: New light L'Edge
I should be getting a couple (both yellow) out here any day. Jacques said I'm the first dealer to get the Lightweight L'Edge. Super stoked! If you are out west and are interested in one, let me know.

Re: Boat of the Week - Esquif Zoom
Of all the boats I've sold, I miss my Zoom the most. It taught me to never let my guard down. Louie told me about his early Zoom that has a round dimple instead of the standard tear drop dimple. I think he called it 'the cereal bowl'. To quote Louie once more, he said the Zoom was the only boat you ...

Re: Extrasport Tactical PFD - reviews?
Be careful of home made modifications to PFDs. On lots of permitted trips in the west the Rangers check equipment and if a tags missing off a PFD showing its 'approved' or if an aftermarket modification has been made than it can't be used. A bit silly and overbearing but something to consider. Heard...

Re: Jackson Star/Fun K-1 to C-1?
I have a super star and a Monstar that I've converted to C1 (without Jackson factory kit). I'm about 190, 5'7". The Monstar was huge, I ran creeks in that thing it was so big but a heafty dose of heat and weight squashed the rear end and a bit of the bow resulted in a much more playful boat. The Sup...
