I agree with larry and use a setup just like his but i connect the thighstraps to a snap shackle just for a but quicker release I like to be very tight in my boat and don't like falling out when flailing. for me its also a mental thing i like knowing that when i pull it will be instant i also use ai...

i use something like this http://store.crowleys.com/servlet/-strse-840/Ronstan-Large-Bail-Snap/Detail?gclid=CIWBuvmu4aoCFYpR7AodEkiL-w I connect my thigh straps to it and run a small peice of webbing from the qr to flop out of the front of the cockpit so when I pull my skirt i can release the straps...

from my experience pegs are a no go in c1s some people have them but i don't think they are as safe in a c1 it is hard to move your feet in a c1. you can prob get a bulkhead to hold you in with feet flat. also consider a strap system with a quick release

one of the big things is I want a higher kneeling position im sick of 3-5 inch saddles especially on easier stuff I'll def keep a c1 for some tough stuff but for just cruising down some easier creeks I can see something like the taureau being cool. I don't like dumping my boat all the time either.

How does the Taureau stack up against other c1's?

So I paddle mainly c1 but am thinking about buying a taureau. I am just wondering how this boat stacks up against c1 creekers ie jefe, burn. I know the whole open cockpit is a huge difference but what is its performance like speed, stability, boof?

There are two rocks to look out for first is the one in that picture called decapitation rock is where the kayaker died. From what I have heard and seen his death was likely alot due to his glass boat folding I've seen quit a few people/boats wash through ther it is just an ugly undercut. Hydroelect...

I had one and didn't think it was that good of a boat. Good on waves not great in holes pretty hard to cartwheel.
