Re: A bad break
Esquif has obviously been working on the l'edge. I m not sure what you mean by "fixed"- broken boats happen- you can't "fix" that. You can only make boats more durable which Esquif has done and hopefully will continue to do. Are they currently as tough as the blackflys? No. I don't think either comp...

Re: A bad break
Options and octanes aren't breaking more often than preludes. I doubt the new l'edges are breaking more frequently also.

Love that video. Nothing like watching Scriver cartwheel a spanish fly to make you feel good about yourself.

Sorry bro. They don't really weld and nothing really sticks to them. It might make a good kids boat or something.

Re: Detonator in heavy water - what am I doing wrong?
It's probably just basic stuff. Bigger water isn't much different than smaller rivers except everything and consequently everything you have to do is bigger, faster etc. I find it helps if you re always paddling in one direction or another. It's absurd to view rolling as failure when you don't have ...

Re: Choosing a boat?
There are some l'edge paddlers who have tried the option and went back their l'edges. While we re being anecdotal, everyone I know who switched from l'edges to options were unfortunate enough to have broken boats early on…. some of which felt they were subsequently mishandled by Esquif (sigh). The l...

Re: Lost my Roll

The canoe roll has two parts that happen in quick succession but are distinct- 1. Right the boat with your hips/abs/legs 2. sweep your body into the boat. Lastl...
