Re: Why do Open boaters whine so much about kayakers??

on the other side of the pond it's vice versa, the yakers whine about the little open boaters there are.... we open boaters and c1ers laugh a bit about the buttboaters, but just jokingly and in a friendly manner. The buttboaters on the other hand believe that OC's are heavy and unsuitable for the to...

Re: 2012 Paddling Goals

what a nice thread, I haven't thought about making a list of goals so far well, it could be: - learn to feel, making that boat fly and glide smoothly, bringing on the speed - learn to read (the water) - travel far - rock it hard and an assortment of alpine rivers - mittlere Ötz (a river in the alps)...

Re: L'edge L'ime L'imited

what I would like even better would be a smaller L'Edge, that would be cool ;) or a Prelude with chines it's definitely a cool boat, but when not being a full sized male, it can be a bit of a problem in the L'Edge (yeah, I know about all the need for gravity and stuff and tested it already) cool col...

the only advice would be: test the stuff every paddler is individual and you might love a boat while your fellow - even with the same physique as you - hates it. How a boat performs is dependent on the paddler, too I am currently having a Syphon (though it's the older model). It's a good boat with a...

(no date yet, location probably Versam) keep me updated, though, when heading to the alps, I might join you for some paddling @ Kel...

I'm a slalom paddlere and yes, there is a light and agile boat, but this is not what I compare to the L'Edge. I'm speaking OC's here only I mean, a Prelude, Ocoee, Viper, Mowhak Rodeo etc. does feel good to me. So does my not so lightweight Creek C1, loaded with 11lbs of camera gear plus safety equi...

I like the look of that welded SL Edge.....how does the unmodified L'edge perform for the lightweight adult paddler? - would it be best to look for a smaller more lightweight canoe? you mean the regular L'Edge as it is? Me personally I think the L'Edge is designed for bigger, strong male paddlers w...
