Well..
You should be able to find a value at most paddle shops. They usually come in a mini package with glue too. If not us can always use GOOP (hardware store) which works well (good item to have in the spare kit alog with the olde duct tape)! Just make sure you clean the end of the tube (mold and such) ...

Squashing a Cascade
I concur with Scott. The Cascade is not a boat you can step on and get any value out of (not to mention taking all the value out of). When I had a Cascade we (my boat squashing guru and myself) spent some time and many beers playing with the that thought - the conclusion - the pay off wasn't worth t...

Let me know the exact details relating to what you need on the ABS arena. I'll then look about (or if you get a lead off the net I can be a delivery boy). Not problem on the fix. The wife will look down on the oven use but I can explain that if things go bad she gets a new oven at the cabin. We'll h...

Skid plates
Warren Let me know when your going to do the work and I'll help you out. We'll do it at the cabin then go for a paddle (you can borrow a boat) then finish off the work with a beer. Kevlar felt is what I used on my OC1 and it held up for 7 years of my abuse. Howevre, I think the suggestions on materi...

I just got off the phone with Warren and he very interested. Once he gets a chance to get on line (young'ns  ) he'll follow up with you! He was sleeping (1:00PM since he put on the Big Sandy at 7:00AM). Life is tough at WVU - I'm jealous!!! In the mean time - I guess this means your heading up ...

What I did...
I river salvaged (fixed, etc.) misc. old cheap raft paddles (3) then cut them to different lenghts. I took each one boating until I thought I found my sweat zone. Then tested that lenght (52.5) on a 4th prior to cutting my good paddle(s) to fit. One bonus is that I have since used the cut blades as ...

I agree Ric is one talented fellow! He sent me a couple CDs (one of his music and the other on his outfitting - I'm not sure which is more impressive!!!). He also sent along with a couple cookies which might attend the Armada - unless I get really hunger on the drive over!
Thanks RT! PAC

LL pedestal
Should be at Cheat fest. If not there one may show at the Armada. In the mean time TEAM etc outfitting looks to be an easy install, sweat to paddle and best of - all light! My $.02!

Question on kids helmets...
Since the topic is helmets, and this is always an area of interest to me, does anyone have thoughts, ideas, etc. concerning head gear for children? Last year I had the lad and lass in old Ace helmets (showing my age by having a couple of these around) when paddling class A and I. I used these to str...
