MOre thoughts...
Adam is right on with the cement and try these 2 tricks. 1. Try to "slide" the seat into postion with the glue being very wet (more than usual glue on the boat and seat will aid as a lubericant - I know it sounds wrong but it works). Once in place wipe off extra. - it will puddle up on the edges. If...

No problem Ellen is welcome back any time. As for Capin Bligh – now that is a different matter. I’m glad you liked the ZWO and the “Slip”. As for the seal launch - its only a 75 degree 8 foot embankment and that so called tree is only there to keep kayakers from ruining our fun. :) I have to ...

It's a bit of a drive (3.5 hours) from the DC area but if your interested let me know. If you want I can email you my cell number! That's a lot of drivi...

If I understand your concerns / issues in this post you are looking to stop the dreaded un-requested wet exit. There are a number of ways to address this and I’ll note the ones I use: o Thigh straps that are in close and run up over the high (fat part) of my thigh. o Widen the knee spacing – wide is...

Kneal As of right now the weekend of July 26 & 27 are a go. Start to making your plans to head up this way. I have launch slots on Sunday so we MAY have to get permits for Sat. unless your willing to get up early. However, I will work on that and that may NOT be an issue. I'm assuming you two...

Next weekend, as in 7/19, I'm being dragged of to Florida and Disney with the wife and kids! As for the next weekend (7/26) - that might be doable! Let me double check with the wife (she sometimes plans things for me)! :P But lets pencil that in! Take care and stay in touch! PS: I didn't have time f...

Yo, I take exception to that! I VOLUNTARILY went into the meat of that sucker and certainly did not get thrashed! I DECIDED to go into the maul after I KNEW I was not going to make the move across its face! :o I tried the penciling through squirt boat trick and it just doesn’t work in a short play b...

Enough is NEVER enough (in love, money, or Cboats)....
Obfuscation – who me! Never!!! I firmly believe that moving boats around is good for you and for them. You learn better tie down methods, rotate the stock, and when you do this you tend to take what ever boat you are relocating out for a “Walk” (per Sir Adam). Besides my wife is way too smart to fal...

It looks like they powers that be are not blaming this particular situation on Dimple Rock. I think the fact that he came up out of the water and was able to grasp the front of the safety boat (along with the fact he weighted in at 400 pounds :o ) played a roll in this finding. A couple things to no...

Modifcation of nature...
We recently had another tragic event on the lower yough. The 2nd this year - but two different locations (A kayaker at Entrance at higer flow 7.5' and this rafter at Dimple at 2'). This is leading to renewed calls for modifiation of the river. I just thought I'd bring this issue up since many of you...

Great to hear it's coming to a point were you are satisifed with it! I'm very impressed since I know how much time and energy goes into design, proto-ing, and making a boat. Looking for pictures and (possible) video of it in action, as well as those glamor shots you promised! As you know I'm still t...
