Outside chance I might run it on race day wearing a bib...actual "racing" not so certain. Contingent upon securing another Outrage in case the current one meets a bitter end. This is an EXTREMELY SERIOUS undertaking. After a certain point things start to happen fast on the run, and finding yourself ...

I apologize for citing this vid again, but... http://vimeo.com/7257055 Starting about 2:10, I get the "rendition" and do some combat rolling in manky stuff. If you can catch a pause at about 2:12 (the first flip), you can see my first move as I go over is to kiss the front airbag. I got a nice gouge...

I only use the power face when "surfing" back up in a feature that is sufficiently dynamic to make it happen. It's pretty rough on the shoulder. I have used it in downriver before, but only when getting surfed. Tommy and TheKrikkitWars have pretty good thoughts otherwise. Good hip motion is the most...

I have broken a Werner T-grip in the same way as described. Warranty was honored without hassle, and the paddle wasn't exactly brand new.

If it is the one I remember he went over backwards and leaning sideways. It looked like he hit rock on river right, but he flushed through Speed Trap and rolled up smiling.

Nice vid! Harrison, I think I asked you at the Cheoah back in February, but have you added some extra flare to the bow on the Outrage?

I'm not sure I would care to run it in a short/slow boat. It was a good moment for traditional canoes...now if I can only hook up a Gorilla Tape sponsorship.

There's a montage on that first page, with individual frames on page 3 of that album. Good to go. The Outrage won't fit through it "upright;" it has to be edged. I entered it upright on Saturday and ground to a halt in the slot and had to lean over to pass through. Wear elbow pads... There's a video...

Louie on the Green...exceptional L'Edge durability

Louie joined the party on the Green on Sunday to see how he liked it in the L'Edge...it ran Sunshine without him and emerged without a (new) scratch. Photos are available here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/jollyroggerr I believe Photo 091 shows the boat dropping into Sunshine as "Dangerous Dave" Low...

Never paddled a Taureau, but I think having the engage-able ends on the S. Fly would give it an adavantage as a do-it-all boat. The Taureau would certainly spin, but it's more fun to be able to stand the boat up and get it tossed around in moderate-sized features. The L'Edge appears to be THE creek ...

What type of heat gun is used in the video? Also, are welds more brittle than the original molded plastic? Is there any way to anneal/heat treat/slow cool a weld to cut down on brittleness?

cutdown S. Fly

How much does one typically cut out of the Fly? There are some YouTube videos of Jamie Burbeck (?) in one that looks like he's taken 2 ft out.

You got pictures, Jeremy? Others?
