Re: Boat demos in the SE

I'm a small paddler 5' and a slight build. I got to take the Octane prototype on our local creek this past weekend and LOVED IT . I come from an outrage so i loved the edges and how well it carved. Primary stability is fine and 2nd seems excellent. I need to spend more time getting comfortable with ...

Re: March 9 before official ALF

The tohican release is the 3rd weekend in March which would be 3/16 and 3/17. I have not heard anything that it is not being held this year. I've seen a few clubs post it on their boards.

Re: Breaking into Slalom Racing

Regarding NESS - I have to say its worth the drive. They have a few races not too bad drive from PA. CT, NY. I got to attend my first NESS events last spring and not only do they have challenging courses (Penn is good but more of a beginner series) you also get to see some amazing slalom racers. Thi...

vinyl? crack/line

My outrage is 12 years old and was in excellent condition when I acquired it 2 years ago. Now not so pretty but much loved/paddled. I noticed what I can only describe as a very thin crack/line dead center I think stern end on the inside of the boat. Maybe 3" or so. Not sure if its the lining or deep...

Wanted Dagger Rival

I'm looking for a dagger rival. The person who is getting it is just starting open boat so if it has outfitting and bags that would be even better. We live in PA and are willing to do a road trip.

Re: carry your own canoe

Thanks for the input. I tried the saddle on my neck and my friend was there and caught me before I fell over. I'm trying to stay away from putting any more weight in the boat if I can help it. The mohawk strap looks like a good option. I have a lil red wagon that works great for any terrrain that wi...

carry your own canoe

I need input on how best to carry my outrage. I'm 5' and have a great red AWD tire wagon that will carry it most places. But there are times the wagon does not work and I have to figure out how to carry it. I found a mad river 40" ash yoke. Are there any other options? I am squeamish about taking ou...

Re: 2012 NBoP Armada... on the Cheat April 28th and 29th

I saw reference campground is next to Cheat Festival fairground. As never having been this way before can I get something more specific. I am looking for something I can put into google map and figure out directions. I'm hoping to collect a group which will reduce my chance of wandering and being lo...

class 2+-3+ boater

I'm catching a ride and sharing cabin space with class 4 boaters. Not being at that level just want to know that there will be boaters in class 2+-3+ at alf. I'm at KOA but sounds like if I can get me and my boat to shoney's should be able to find like-skill level to paddle? Coming in Friday night f...
