Re: Big Dog OC 1 Prototype

Hi Mike

The boat has been getting tweaked over the last few months and we've been hammering the prototypes hard. Work is happening on the plug right now and I should hopefully I'll have some more news really soon

Re: Big Dog Force OC-1

Hey guys Sorry I had to keep moving yesterday on the yough. We had a schedule to keep to so we could make our flight back to the UK. Again I'm not going to give you an unbiased view but I love my force. Drive it hard and it'll stay dry. You should note that I had no trouble keeping up with my kayaki...

Re: Big Dog Force OC1 - Outfitting is finished!

Cheers Dooley! So the pictures from Costa Rica are.... First one is the classic Upper Pacuare which was a super cool run Second one.....the one you asked about is the naranjo (sp) labyrinth which was fun and a different character to a lot of the other Costa runs. We never got round to it in the end ...

Re: Big Dog Force OC1 - Outfitting is finished!

Hey Matt I don't think anyone will have one over for the Euro Armada. I will however be over in the Alps from 2nd of June until the 17th. Chances are we're gonna spend a couple of days in the Upper Rhone area, then down to Val Sesia for a few days before finishing off in the French Alps. I'm just tr...

Re: Big Dog Force OC1 - Outfitting is finished!

The saddle is pretty easy to move around as it's bolted in. I've paddled all the prototypes and pre-production boats with fairly decent loads in them. Worked well for me. Obviously try not to pack too extravagantly! It can take a little fiddling to get the trim right once loaded but that's the same ...

Re: Big Dog Force OC1 - Outfitting is finished!

The website is currently undergoing a major revamp so that's why it's offline. It should be back up over the next week or so. Price wise I assume you're asking for the USA? Whereabouts are you? I'm not up on who's got what in the US however I do know that over West Smurfwarrior has a shop in Utah st...

Re: Big Dog Force OC1 - Outfitting is finished!

Weight wise......I'm not sure to be honest. Picking one up it feels around the same maybe slightly heavier that your average creek kayak. I think they come in at about 18 kg these days. Let me check that and get back to you. I've been hiking 750 metres back to the top of a local river three or four ...

Big Dog Force OC1 - Outfitting is finished!

It's done! Big Dog Force OC1 outfitting is finished. There’s some photos in the link below…….please excuse the quality they were a bit of a rush job taken before work this morning (hence the layers of dust in a couple of the pictures!) I hope to have some better quality snaps soon. These ones don’t ...

Sorry for the lack of updates recently but my day job has been keeping me busy. It's interfering with my fun...... Anyway I managed to quickly run the tape measure around the boat the other day. These specs were taken by myself in the middle of the night without any help so they are probably not the...

Ok, I've been off here for a bit because I've been too busy enjoying some Scottish boating. Cheers to Lennart and some of the other guys for answering some questions on here. For those of you who wanted to see some hull and side profile pics I've now added a couple of fairly low quality rushed effor...

I'm afraid the boat at WWPF will have pre-production rough as anything Bob foam outfitting........but I can give you a good idea on how it's all going to work.

See you at WWPF. Looks like we might get some water. Looking forward to it!

If you're a strap mounter Josh then I think you'll be doing a bit of improvising as ever. The idea is to go with a bulkhead and foot brace option. Thinking about the saddle I think it would be fairly easy to get some straps on there if you so desired. I'll let you know if I get anything further on t...

There's a bit of detail on the outfitting in the novel I wrote above. Basically there is no outfitting in the pictures. The boat is going to be fitted with made to measure moulded plastic internals. That means pre-moulded saddle with thigh hooks etc. There will be a foam pad ontop of the saddle for ...
