i carry a compact 50 foot rope (at least i did until this weekend i hope to get it back soon) as i am short and trying to throw a 65-70 foot bag is not likely is the reason i carry the small bag .... and the rivers i usually run a 50 footer is plenty of rope for my use ....that said i also have a 70...
