floatation for a glass boat
I got a new to me, used c2 glass boat. I am sure my partner and I will be doing a fair amount of swimming out of this boat. My question is should I use foam in the bow and stern or should I use air bags? I am new to ownership of glass boats so any imput would be great! Thanks.

Re: Do we need to be recognised?
It’s a chicken and egg argument. If you want recognition you can't complain when you get recognition, but by the same token you can't complain no one recognizes you if you don't want recognition. I feel boating for 95% of us is done for personal pleasure, whether paddling a Grumman aluminum canoe on...

Re: Pics of Jackson c-1 outftting cooool
Well I think this is an example of how as a community we can not decide on what "state of the art" outfitting would be. To start half 1/3 of us use straps, 1/3 bulked, 1/3 straps and bulked. A portion of the people feel loose out fitting is the way to go so one can swim easier, followed by a group w...

Re: Pics of Jackson c-1 outftting cooool
I think this is a fanatasctic start! Sure no outfitting is perfect for all boaters! Clearly we all have differrent ideas about how loose/tight our outfitting should be. Sure if you don't like the backband, ect then we don't use it. Since we are all custom outfitters I am confident we can come up with...

Peak uk dry suit
Any one tried one of these dry suits in a c-boat? I'm just wondering how that zipper is while kneeling. I just want info from people who own a peak uk dry suit or c-boaters who have tried using one in their boat. Thanks

dry pants
I want to get peoples opinions. I want to hear what you have to say about dry pants in a c-boat with a saddle height 5~5.5 inches high. I can not wear wetsuit pants because they bind behind my knee and inflict leg pain not even this seasoned c-boater can endure! I can only hope dry pants do not bind...

brand new never been in the water jackson star 2010
Great boat for a C1 conversion! It has the solid round center board great to tie down thigh straps. I am selling because it is too small :( I am asking $900 but might negotiate. I won it and have the opportunity to buy a Jackson Rockstar medium Demo boat for $950. I only want to get what I need for ...

I currently wear rodeo sock. With class V drops I deffinately want to scout them. Unfortunatly many of the souting missions and portages are class v+. I nearly fell last week 15 feet into sink hole trying to portage. The other problem is the saddle in my creek boat is only 5 inches high which doesn'...

foot wear?
This is to all the c1ers out there who creek. What do you wear on your feet? I am finding rodeo socks are not all that on uneven terrain. Unlike kayakers who have more room for their shoes I need to find something comfortable, with good grip and still fits under me. Im open for suggestions.
