I bet the new Necky boats would be nice, and I'd say the Vibe would put forth a descent challenge. If I was going to get a new playboat...Definatly a Skip. Its an awesome boat if your under about 160 I'd say. We should design a Cboats.net playboat and build it in glass...that would be a lot of fun. ...

I am not sure how big you are and how much you sink the medieval, however it is possible to sink plastic boats at some big pourover type spots such as Flipper on the Ocoee. I don't know what you have available out west as far as features like that though. Mysteries are incredible and addictive thoug...

I doubt seriously that you would be able to sink a slalom boat unless it was really low cut and you were at a scary big seam. plus, they're 13 feet long...i'd say find a squirt, but i suppose its worth a try. as for balast, i'd vote middle.

I'm also sorry to hear about this. As I understand from your post that they are considering altering the river to make it safer? I feel rather strongly against this, although I can understand why there would be a push to make alterations from friends/family of those lost. I feel that paddling has in...

Well, perhaps not a great source, but it is news...and quite humorous at that.

I'd probably be interested, but it would really depend on the rise of my current fund situation. I'd definatly like to try it out though. I'm planning on paddling my Acrobat all summer instead of my playboat, its so much fun. Take care,

How do I mount seatbelt in glass boat?

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to make an attatchment point in my Acrobat for a seatbelt. I tried epoxying one of those big vinyl D-Rings like in open boats but the epoxy didn't hold at all. I also tried contact cement and it also didn't work. I thought about putting one or two small scr...

I have only ever seen video clips of Bill McNight, however having seen Barry Kennon on the Ocoee a few times and he was probably one of the best rodeo boaters out there (K-1 or C-1). Anyways, as far as the slalom/rodeo thing goes, I've been itching to get in a slalom boat for a while but since I usu...

Sounds like some fun. I'd be up for an Ottawa venture sometime in June, I'm heading up there around the 8th and staying until probably the 20th. Anyone care to join us?

We Designed Em' is definatly one of the best whitewater video's I've ever watched. I never get sick of it. You can buy it at www.whitewatervideo.com. It's short and very sweet.
