I heard that they were hopeing for 100 paddlers, and ended up serving dinner for over 300! on Saturday night. Awesome turnout.

Drysuit Repair

My new drysuit now has a half inch tear in the elbow. I'm using duct tape on the inside right now. Suggetions for a permanent repair? Thanks.

(O)C1?

I believe the new Esquif Salsa can be fitted with a skirt. (A great way to practice moves before competition.) Does it then become a C1 or just a really, really dry (O)C1.

Temp Outfitting

Buy one of those yellow or blue foam sleeping pads (the kind of foam that doesn't hold water) and use double sided sticky tape (carpet tape?) to hold the stuff in. You may have to re-stick it every few sessions, but better than nothing. You want minimal movement between you and the boat.

Phantom Shape

I saw an Ocoee that had been drastically altered -- asymetrical and pulled in a lot with the front thwart - not sure of the rear thwart, and the ends cut down 1.5". Claimed benefits were faster (rounded hull forward, longer waterline), easier to put in a vertical forward stroke (narrower - looked ki...
