Saturday
Louie: We'll be arriving (3 of us) Friday night. What happend to your number from last year - 865 388 0915 - is it still good? Is there some place (your backyard?) where I could keep whichever boat I/we arn't paddling - bringing a tandem and a solo. And something a little sedate on Saturday and perh...

Expectations are High - WOOHOO!
After a great but too short time last year, Dian & I (the Canadian Tandem) have booked the Comfort Inn in Lenoir for AIF-08. The people who were there from Canada last year have done a great selling job up here and there appears to be somewhere between 20 and 30 Canajuns preparing to sample your Sou...

Wow!
Beautiful river, beautiful pictures - the bow paddler looks like she is doing most of the work, while you look at the camera, though. :-) I can see why you may have put a few scratches and dings in the boat. New Royalex is really soft. It wears a lot better if it is allowed to age in the sun for a f...

Over the last two years a friend and I both traded up to Ocoees. Dave from a Rival and me from a Phantom. We are both VERY pleased with the boat - a nice combination of dryness, manoeuverability, and stability. Neither of us find it edgy in a bad sense, but when it carves a turn, wow. Probably a rea...

Sure ..... but ......
There was a prototype available at Louifest, but the outfitting was in wrong, and I don't think it could be paddled (as in not possible). I have a friend who has ordered one (last Nov) and have heard conflicting stories as to 'the boat is being loaded on the truck this week' or ' We are having troub...

Question
I paddle a Starburst solo, and want to use it for rodeo on big water. Do you have anything for that?

Smaller Boat?
Jim In my experience, finding a smaller boat can get VERRRRRRY expensive, although, in the short term it will probably result in a restored fit. I would strongly suggest exploring all other options before even considering this one! If you have been in the habit of leaving your air bag in during tran...

Kevlar Rival vs ABS Rival
Is there a difference in performance between a kevlar Rival and an ABS one? How does the kevlar stand up to the scrapes / scratches and dings that normally happens to ww boats? What happens when you have the kind of serious impact that actually punches the ABS in (bow or stern - no big deal, push it...

Batteries
Try looking at the batteries they use for Radio Controlled toys. They are not cheap, but they are as powerful and light as possible. I use two at 7.2 volts (in series?) and run the pump on 14.4 volts (alternator output level).
