Re: deck plates
I have new Blink #15 and realized same problem immediately. Deck plates are carbon/basalt. Purchased Surlyn film (for protecting ski/snowboard tops) 14" wide, $2.95/ft from Tognar.com. Laminated entire deckplate and bow/stern ends at deckplates. Then a little gorilla tape on very tip of deckplate ov...

Re: WTB: Viper C-1
Hi Mike - I have Viper C-1 / black with red swirls, really good condition, I used Cascade/Atom skirt so big cockpit?, think 1/2 cut but at 170# floated me high. Has bags and a skirt that will fit one of your legs.

Re: Who was the first person to put a "pump" in a canoe?
I purchased Skeeter from Bob Taylor (Appomattox River Co) Feb 6, 1999 untested. First one sold in Virginia. Loved it but really wet. Probably by April/99, installed Atwood V1200 pump, 2.7 a/h battery. Installation basically same as you see in most individual and factory systems today and same as I p...

Re: Whitewater canoeing (Video)
What paddle is being used by paddler in red option / reddish brown helmet? Looks to be wood shaft, black blade, narrow at throat and wide at tip. Appears to have white square logo on blade. Thanks

Re: BigDog Force
Sde tanks have drain plugs because they can and eventually will leak at the screws that hold the tanks in. They used rubber washer and sealant, but one of the tanks in mine leaked thru screw holes. Stock outfitting did not fit me at all so I made all foam saddle/bulkhead and ethafoam tank replacemen...

toe blocks
In my BigGun C-1 I have 1" high X 3" wide minicell blocks faced with neoprene. These are positioned against the side of the saddle so my toes BARELY touch. When I flip I dont slide back. To release, it is easy to slide toes to the sides or over top of blocks. Cheap and effective, no pressure on feet.
