Re: rolling the CU-Fly

Yes the Cufly helped my roll so much. If forces good technique. With the Cufly you really have to keep your head down and really hug the front deck. A smaller/thinner PFD can help. I love my Cufly for what it does and is blast in the our play hole

Re: So just how slow is........

I paddled a Stomper 80 c-1 in Chile and totally did not like it at all. VERY Slow, unstable, the outfitting was not great. I did not like it so much that I traded it for a kayak.... to use for the rest of the week

Re: L'Edge Cracking.

I have never had a boat made of any material royalex, plastic, aluminum, wood canvas, fiberglass, kevlar NOT make it off of the of a river trip, either day or extended trip. Nor have a seen any plastic boats being left on a river bank anywhere. they all make it to the take out. Duct tape does wonders...

Re: L'Edge Cracking.

Your local canoe school guy has never shat all over the L'edge. You asked for advice/feedback on boats, many different boats and feedback given based on his own experience. He owns 3 L'edges and loves the boat. All 3 of them have cracked. All 3 of been been welded very successful. He also knows of s...

Re: what did you sell or buy this year?

Einar- Spanish Fly- you know where it is if you want to paddle it. My plan of paddling more in Vancouver has not yet materialized.
I have 14' Kevlar Duraflex Prospector in very good condition- a couple of smaller bruises that I have debated selling since I bought a Clipper kevlar Sea-1.

Re: Solo Canoe Advice.

There is an Octane 92 in Vancouver region- same hull, with 2 saddles if you want to see one. It would be a fun boat on the right water. Up here would be great on the Tutshi but would hate it on the carry i. You would hate it on the Takhini after the Jaws, probably get bored of it pretty quick on the...
