Hey JR how about a picture? I have an Instep CC100 It weighs 17 lbs, sports 16" wheels and easily hauls my Mad River Explorer with a weeks worth of gear on anything resembling a road. It does not fit in my Outrage. I'm waiting on an Instep CC450 That is reputed to weigh 9 lbs and have smaller wheels...

IIRC my head is 7-3/4. I'm pretty happy with my Cascade though the face cage makes for a tight fit over the ears. This thread on NPMB is making me wonder if it was the helmet (a Cascade) or the fit? http://www.npmb.com/cms2/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?129753 At any rate you are welcome to...

Mr Smerda you are some kind of confused. Poling ain't got a thing to do with this Stand Up Paddling nonsense. First off, polers don't paddle. (duh!) They pole. Paddles push water. Poles push rock mostly. Second off, poles are nothing like paddles. They're long, 12 feet or so, and skinny. 1 1/8 inch ...

Compare Prodigy to Outrage?
Anybody paddled both enough to compare strengths and weaknesses?
The Prodigy seems quick. Likely quicker than the Outrage.
Does the Prodigy turn as well?
Is it more or less likely to offer swimming lessons?
Does it like to surf?
Whay about the X? Big difference or not?

I paddle an Outrage and bought an Encore because I couldn't find a used Outrage X. The Outrage X is roughly the same size as the Encore. I think it paddles much like the Outrage which is to say it's quicker than the Encore and it carves without requiring as much heel. Like the Encore it's pretty for...

What are peoples thoughts on the Dagger Atom? Thanks for the input, Ryan. Bear in mind this is coming from a boater of limited skills and talent who only runs New England III's (II's for the rest of y'all I'm told). I quite like my Atom for river running. It's relatively quick and precise. It surfs...
