It's glass reinforced polypropolene right?
I wouldn't expect it to be any easier to glue to than a polyethelene boat. OK for kneecups but not for thigh straps.

Hi Gail, The West has a nice non technical class III run. The first rapid is the hardest but you have to hike, either up from the end of the park shuttle or down the dam, to run that. Most folks put in below that where the shuttle drops you. The park shuttle has been a pretty good deal in years past...

I guess if you are really good you can paddle straight but I've always had to alternate onside and offside carving to aproximate straight. ( ) ( ) To make the arc as large as possible, move your forward stroke out to the side for more of a sweep and reduce the lean. Eventualy you destroy the carve a...

Never paddled an EZ but I've been trying to get used to a Foreplay for a while. It definately likes a fast wave. It's slow as a dog compared to my Slasher or Outrage but it spins a lot better. I have trouble with the bow sinking when I'd rather it didn't (like offside ferries) and I do a lot of brac...

I used a Werner Nantahela (sp?) for a few years untill the blade broke at the bottom of the shaft. Seen a few more broken like that since. Replaced it with a Mitchel whitewater premium, all wood and glass with the rope edges and aluminum tip. I like this one a lot better than the Werner. The first t...

Thanks
Thanks Scott,
I'm not a fan of the Cascade, too slow and mushy.
Sounds like I should stick with the Slasher... and maybe put a deck on the Outrage

River runners, Can anybody compare a Slasher to an Atom?
I've been paddling a Slasher on and off for a few years and like it pretty well. Being a boater of limited talent I find my self going back to my trusty Outrage for harder runs(N.E. III+). Problem with that is the #!!*$ hole in the top of the boat keeps letting the water in. I keep meaning to borrow...

My buddy Rod paddles a Caper, solo and tandem. It's like a very wide Caption. Rod say's it turns better than his old Impulse.

New Wave Cruise Control
Yesterday I paddled with a guy in a Cruise Control conversion. It looked like a pretty good river runner though I doubt it was as easy to paddle as he made it look. Anybody ever paddle one? Any thoughts on how it would work for somebody in the 200lb range? There are some pics on the second page here...

Whitewater Rebel
There is some realy nice footage in that movie. Someone, suposed to be Brolins character, running the Kern I think .
Almost enough to make me want to move there.
And the bad guys paddle black kayaks!
Unfortunatly they let the actors talk and ruined the movie.

Thanks
Boy I am relieved to see the board back up so quickly.
My thanks to Adam and Kenneth for providing us with this the one place where I don't have to explain what a C boat is.

Yeah Mike W I think you are right about the stern bulkhead. The closer the top of that is to the cockpit opening the easier it will be to drain but vertical is stronger. I'll see how that goes when I do the coaming.. There's a guy with a S&G playboat on the kayak forum building board http://www.kaya...
