I might as well elaborate - since I know how much everyone loves carnage...
The first day we rafted was Friday - and in FullGnarlz fashion - we got into a good one... including our raft being horribly wedge between two rocks @ the entry of lost paddle. 5 of us were standing on a rock in the middle of the Gauley, that wasn't exactly meant for 5 people...
It wasn't until 45 mins later, when a 27year guide from Colorado, jumped from raft to raft, and put together a 3-1 bomans rigg...whatever that is - basically a bunch of mechanical advantage to finally get free. Jared Seiler and I had to paddle the rest of lost paddle with only 2 paddles in a raft of 5 people.
End it with a flip at Iron Ring - and another 'minor' incident - and it created a precedent for day two: Redemption - of which - we styled everything...ran it all dry...and threw some massive raft boofs
Single-bladin' it with the yakkers...hopefully you taught those dudes a few things...oh wait, that's the Seilers...they belch more gnar than we could ever hope to see.
Looked like fun, man. I'll tell you what, I'm game for the Upper G any time. I cleaned out the Lower and was feelin' the flow. I was hoping for a trip in October if anyone wants to get the thought process going.
