More info
Hallo,
Newbie to the forum.
I came across this forum and topic while looking for a holiday idea.
Do you have to register, of just turn up. Do you need to book the camping individually. What are the arrive and departure times?
Many thanks.
PS Original plan was to make a trekking trip on the Allier but having looked at the water levels there, the river is below the lowest level it was all last year.
I guess there is more water in Austria?
Valerie

Hi guys
we have a little problem - Salza might be without water, with maybe Enns as an alternative.....the only other area is Soca /Slovenia, wich is about the same distance to drive from north....so what should we do.....it's really difficult since we have no guarantee for water no where....water will bi difficult at Salza river while changing location is difficult too since everyone has planned for the Salza. Any opinions? please write soon!!!!!! I need to cancel the Salza camp reservation and make a new one in Slovenia somehwat soon IF we change location....

A river without water is not interesting at all
So I think if we stick to the Salza, some of us will go and search for another area with water, or cancel the Armada due to the long drive.
I'm assuming we still can contact all participants by other participants, even the UK ones (I'm thinking of Kelvin who's already on the way I suppose).
So as far as I see it, switching location is the best option.

LOCATION is now CHOSEN: SALZA as it was planned! The reason is, a lot of people were not comfortable with the thought of going to soca or switching location at all, also the weather forecast looks a bit better and in case there might be alternatives not too far away! Please all consider that this is nature and low water levels always are a risk and I am not to blame

Enough water!
Hi Guys,
the water levels have risen so for everyone with a longer trip to make rest assured, we'll have enough water - its at low water right now @150 (Salza -Wildalpen) http://4-paddlers.com/48/e02ae596-6c3b- ... Pegel.html but there is rain expected (not too much, it should conserve or slightly rise the water levels anyhow!).
Great fun to be had. There were talks about an informal boatercross or slalom race on the slalom course right at the campsite.. we'll see but it will be fun!
Cheers,
Jan

Thank you all for ECBA 2011 - thanks for the great time on and off the river, for the good conversations and all the experiences I was allowed to make and that will push me forward and accompany me for a long while

And at last, my video edit. Right in time before the new paddling season starts for most of us.
Sorry folks, for the delay.
