Re: Pedestal question

Thank you for the replies. Now that I found out I can't get another easily or cheaply. I found something similar for $129 ( http://www.northwater.com/html/products/canoeing/Canoe%20subdirectory/Adjustable-Saddle.html ), I just don't want to spend that kind of money. I want to raise the seat in my ...

Re: Question about canoe length vs maxium weight limit

I'm 5'11 and 260. I just started this year, and still very new to solo boating. I picked up a genesis used very cheap and paddled it a few times. After paddling the saluda in columbia which has long stretches of flat water. The boat was hard to stay straight and would rock side to side a lot, but ...

Re: Removing Royalex Paint

Well I have always started everything late. I tried kayaking a few years ago, and while it was initially fun, it wasn't the same as when i paddled flat water as a teen. I have a genesis. I'm big guy, at 5'11 - 260. But i found a good deal on an 80s ME, so i picked that up and fixing it up to see if ...

Re: Removing Royalex Paint

The citrus stripper worked nearly instantly. It is mainly for aesthetics. After sitting at bull sluice as a teen and wanting to canoe down it, I hit 40 and decided I was getting to old to not try it, so i bought a boat and start paddling this year.

thanks for the advice.

Re: circa late 1980s Mad River stickers

I am looking for the same exact thing. If you find any, let me know. I was thinking about getting my own made (http://www.signazon.com/vinyl-decals/die-cut-decals/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;), but that doesn't seem quite ethical.

I thought about grabbing the ones that harmony ...

Re: Removing Royalex Paint

Unfortunately it is is from the sides up, so running over rocks isn't an option. It was painted with some paint from mad river.

thank you for the replies.

Re: CForum Support - subscription?

As someone very new to the site and whitewater canoeing, I can give an outsiders perspective. I don't think I would have joined the site if there was an initial charge. I spent most of the summer researching boats and hunting craigslist in the south east trying to find a boat that I could afford. I ...
