How do people like the Ocoee for slalom?

There were a good # at the NOC slalom nationals in 2012.

The Ocoee and the Viper boats have been favorites for plastic (citizen/recreational) class open canoe slalom races for many (and I mean MANY) years. It's a good choice if you cannot get a good composite boat.

The Nova Craft iteration of the Ocoee appears to come from the factory narrowed (about two inches is my guess) compared to the original Dagger version. I think this modification is/was popular among racers. While I am no racer, I have had three Ocoees; two Dagger versions and one Bell. I pinched them all. Now I have a Nova Craft version that is waiting to be outfitted. No pinching necessary.
