While search for Minicel, I keep coming across Microcell.

I know Minicel is a brand name and I suspect Microcell is as well.

Has anybody used Microcell and is it like Minicel... as in, does not absorb water and is easy to shape?

What are some good places to get some foam?

They're nearly identical, at least as far as whitewater paddlers are concerned. Use whatever is cheaper for you to buy. Check Sweet Composites for your foam needs.
