i'm working on my first C1 conversion and have a few ?'s
how much of a offset is there in a k1 and c1 skirt
i checked snapdragons website and no mention of a c1 skirt.
i've heard to add 6" more than a regular skirt, any truth?

The offset depends on the boat and your personal set-up and trim. Here is a link to tread about the subject on boatwerks.net, wher John Mason from Mountain Surf posted some pretty compehensive answers.

I agree with Martin!! Also get the boat trimmed out then while you are in the neutral position have someone measure from the back cockpit rim to the back of your back then do same in front. John M. can then give you a real good idea as to location based on those measurements.
Spend the extra $ for the larger tunnel too. Worth every $.

I've been using a kayak skirt and it has been working fine. Wildwasser (Prijon) will make a C-1 skirt if you want. I personally think they make a darn nice skirt for the money.

yeah, set the boat up first. if you already have a kayak skirt, by all means try it. it just might work... but don't count on it... it will probably pull off the back when you tuck forward to roll.

It depends on the boat but if you are proficiant in a o boat it won't take to long. Kayaks have harder edges than o boats so once you learn the edges its a lot nicer- no more emptying. Good luck

I don't think that you need as much a 6 inch offset.
Recommend you check your C1 floating empty on the water for balance, then climb into it to achieve the same balance and measure the distance from your back to the cockpit rim. You will need a partner to help measure the balance.
If you know some kayakers, try to borrow thier skirts and try it out once you know the distance from cockpit rim to back dimension.
If you do need to order a C1 skirt, Brooks in Vancouver BC do make skirts to order.
