floated the upper yesterday after all the rain. The wood isn't really that big of a problem. We didn't have to portage anything, but did have to be careful in a couple of spots. Someone with little boat control or a bad angle on some of the drops could have problems. It was our first time on that reach, and it didn't give us any problems. There are plenty of eddies above the bigger drops to scout from. The flow when we went was creeky. It would have been nice to have done it earlier in the day when there was more flow. By subtracting from the Hewitt gauge, taking into account approximately an hour and a half from the put in to the gauge, I estimate that it was running quite low. Possibly less than 200cfs. Saw one guy in a C1 amongst the K1 crowd running the cascades.
