Looks ok for big water (seems like a big hole hit / trashing would remove you from that boat pretty quick without thigh straps, but maybe not if the pegs work out), scary to creek in. Imagine a big piton, you'd be under foam up to your belt line. Just be careful is alls I'm sayin'...I like your thwart tho!

Thanks OC1er, Yeah I thought about the whole pin thing as well. But I creek my Taureau and there would not be much difference. I put the hip pads on with some very strong velcro so if I need to really rip out in a hurry they will peel out and give me more room. I don't know if you could see the air bag to help keep me and the foam in place in the case of a piton. Cheers

Yeah, a lot of those oc setups i see are way more claustrofobic than most creek c1 setups :)

If the bulkhead doesn't work out for you, you could try double straps with the lower straps being rigid (ie snowboard).
That, imo blows bulkheads out of the water..more comfortable, secure, and versatile. With two sets of straps, you don't need to crank 'em down so tight that it hurts  Yeah, you will have thigh straps to deal with, but with the right buckles it's no biggie. The rigid knee straps just stay put and require no action.

I find it way more comfy than my viper with a factory mowhawk lap belt thingy and other bulkheads that I've used in the past.

Hey Larry, That's what I had in this boat the first time around. Though I never had a stiff lower strap. I've become a huge fan of that solid feel of a bulk head. I really like a tight feeling fit and prefer this. There's not a right or wrong way to do it. I know a few boaters that hate the bulk head feel as fell. Right now my Zoom is my only boat with straps (Mike Yee) and I'd change that to if I didn't lend it out so much. Cheers.

i hear ya, i have two boats set up with bulkheads too, i'm just sayin the snowboard straps are every bit as solid as a bulkhead. :)

Not going to disagree with that. Have those in my C1 play boat and there really solid. Cheer

Just had my foot pegs show up today. So I spent the afternoon installing them. Ended up cutting about a 1/2 inch of the ends of the pegs to give enough room to slide my feet off. But it feels really solid and I think it's going to work great. :D
