2 rafters, 1 OC1er, 1 K1er, 1 hiker trying to wade across Sec 4. The others were on Russell Fork(2) and 2 on a local class 3 run.

ps would Jesus have been an open boater or a butt boater?
A bit off-topic, but Christmas is about celebrating Jesus' birth and Easter is about his death and resurrection. Glad to help out here. :D

Since Jesus was to have walked on water, he would either be a strider or a water walker. 8)

Now, for those who are feeling the effects of these short days of sunlight and less paddling, go sit in front of a UV lamp while watching paddling video (like smurfwarrior's Acrobat updates). You'll feel lots better til you can get back on the water.

Have a merry Christmas, y'all.

@KNeal, I agree.

All this post accomplishes this holiday week makes me think of about 6 people that needlessly died. I was on the water at scene for the last Russell Fork death ( I hope there wasn't yet another) and I can't even describe how horrific it was......needless to say its not holiday joy inspiring in my life.

i'll pick up this thread after Saturday and let you in on a safety Training I do called Learning by Accident. (maybe you don't still live in Colorado?) The class addresses this thread very well though I don't have much specific data from the Cboat world. I tend to think water safety is a basic building block regardless of what you paddle.
