Important Notes for this Forum - PLEASE READ!!

This forum is intended to help folks get starting in 'CBoating', be that decked or open canoeing.
If you are willing to loan folks boats, have a boat you're looking to give away for free to a new paddler, or are willing to help instruct someone, paddle with them, post here.
If you are LOOKING for help, look here, then POST IN THE MAIN FORUM. This includes questions on technique, etc...
Please remember if you are giving away equipment it should be safe, useable equipment. Likewise if you are receiving equipment, try to get some instruction and paddle on flatwater before trying whitewater. Paddling is an fun, exhilerating experience, but like a lot of sports, is dangerous as well.
To my knowledge there is no certification in decked canoe instruction available in North America, so we're all on our own here. Please remember that both if you are trying to help out, and if you are receiving instruction.
