Tandem Canoes on the Grand Canyon

Post by milkman »

Just posted a video of my Grand Canyon trip from mid-April through the first week of May on YouTube. It's as much about the hikes as it is about the paddling. http://youtu.be/kHahV9a6_fY

Wow that looks incredible. Was that through a guide service? Canoe club?

The canoes are Dagger Dimensions--excellent big water tandems with lots of rocker. This was a private trip, but only two of the 10 hadn't been down the Canyon before, and several had done it in canoes--three of them had done it multiple times. This was my first time and I'm ready to do it again. Two of the rafters are accomplished canoeists as well. You see them in the first clip running Granite.
