Glueing down dagger insert, or drilling?

Post by skangadang »

Recently got two dagger c1 inserts to covert a Bliss Stick RAD and a Bliss Stick TUNA. The TUNA insert holes may line up with the bulkhead holes, so that may work fine without glueing to the hull. The RAD however does not have a bulkhead or screw holes for the insert to conn connect to. I have read of folks weldwooding the insert directly onto the hull, and pulling it back up later without ruining the hull. Aside from finding the right trim before glueing, does anyone have an opinion on the pros and cons of each?
